During the APK (the Dutch periodic vehicle inspection), our certified inspector assesses your motorhome strictly against the legal safety and environmental standards set by the RDW. That way, you know your motorhome is fit and safe to take on the road. Among other things, we check:

  • Road safety: Brake performance, shock absorbers, suspension condition, lighting, and tyre tread depth and sidewall cracking on motorhome tyres.
  • Emissions and environment: Exhaust emissions (via a four-gas or particulate test) and inspection of the diesel particulate filter (DPF).
  • Bodywork and registration: Excessive chassis corrosion, seatbelt operation, and verification of the mileage and the vehicle registration document.

When does my motorhome need to be inspected?

The required interval depends on the fuel type and age of your motorhome. You can have it inspected up to two months before the expiry date while keeping the original expiry date. We recommend booking well ahead of the holiday season to avoid the rush.
