Do you recognise these signs in your DSG?
Dirty or old DSG oil can go hand in hand with the following symptoms:
Timely maintenance can help to limit wear and further damage. Do you already have clear symptoms? Then a diagnosis comes first. An oil change does not automatically fix a faulty clutch, mechatronic unit or gearbox.
Why is a DSG oil change so important?
Your DSG is a dual-clutch gearbox that can shift quickly. The transmission fluid lubricates and cools several parts. In wet-clutch DSG versions, the clutches also run in an oil bath. The mechatronic unit (the gearbox control unit) manages the hydraulic and electronic operation of the transmission.
Over time, the oil can become contaminated with wear particles. The properties of the oil can also change. This can affect how the gearbox shifts and the load on the clutches and the mechatronic unit.
Maintenance according to the correct specification helps to keep the gearbox working well. The correct service interval differs by transmission type, model and model year.
Which DSGs and makes do we cover?
We service many DSG and S tronic versions within the Volkswagen Group. We use your number plate and the version to check whether we can service your transmission.
We service DSGs for Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda and SEAT, from a Golf, Polo or Passat to an A3, Octavia or Leon.
