The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Kia gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Kia is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.
The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.
If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Kia Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Kia serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Kia to the manufacturer’s specification, with parts and oil that suit your car.
The Picanto is one of the most common cars in the Netherlands, and the Niro is a familiar sight too. We know Kia’s petrol engines, hybrid technology and automatic gearboxes. Before we start, we explain clearly which conditions apply to the Kia warranty.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Kia?
Kia sets a service schedule for each model and engine. A service is usually due after a set number of kilometres or after a year, whichever comes first. If you make a lot of short trips or often tow a trailer, the schedule may call for a shorter interval. We look up the schedule for your Kia using your registration number.
Kia gives a 7-year manufacturer’s warranty. It stays valid if you have us service your car to the Kia schedule with suitable parts. Since 1 January 2025, Kia can extend the warranty each year until your car is 10 years old or has covered 150,000 kilometres. For that extension, Kia requires the servicing to be done by a Kia dealer.
We use your registration number to look up which service your Kia needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.
Minor or major service for your Kia?
Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:
| Part | Minor service | Major service |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and oil filter | Change and replace | Change and replace |
| Fluids | Check and top up if needed | Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it |
| Brakes and tyres | Check for wear | Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads |
| Filters | Check | Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule |
| Spark plugs (petrol) | Not standard | Replace at the manufacturer’s interval |
| Battery | Check | Test with a battery tester |
| Timing belt (if the engine has one) | Not standard | Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval |
| APK | Book separately | Free if you combine it with a major service |

What do we check when servicing your Kia?
At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Kia, we also pay extra attention to these points:

Servicing your hybrid or electric Kia
The electric Niro, EV3 and EV6 have no engine oil, spark plugs or timing belt. There is still maintenance to do: brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension, the cabin filter and the battery cooling, all to the Kia schedule. On the hybrid and plug-in hybrid Niro, XCeed and Sorento, the petrol engine gets oil and filters to the schedule.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
How much does a service for your Kia cost?
The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Kia stay valid?
Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
