The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Subaru gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Subaru is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.
The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.
If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Subaru Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Subaru serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Subaru to the manufacturer’s specification, with parts and oil that suit your car.
Most Subarus have a boxer engine and permanent four-wheel drive. A car like that needs different attention during servicing than a front-wheel-drive car, especially for the tyres, the drivetrain and leaks. We know this technology.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Subaru?
Subaru sets a service schedule for each model and engine, with a service after a set number of kilometres or a set period. The schedule is in the service book. On a continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT, which Subaru calls Lineartronic) and on four-wheel drive, the gearbox and drivetrain oil can also be part of the schedule.
In a boxer engine the cylinders lie flat, to the left and right of the crankshaft. We use the oil that Subaru specifies for your engine. At every service we check the oil level and look under the engine for leaks.
We use your registration number to look up which service your Subaru needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.
Minor or major service for your Subaru?
Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:
| Part | Minor service | Major service |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and oil filter | Change and replace | Change and replace |
| Fluids | Check and top up if needed | Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it |
| Brakes and tyres | Check for wear | Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads |
| Filters | Check | Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule |
| Spark plugs (petrol) | Not standard | Replace at the manufacturer’s interval |
| Battery | Check | Test with a battery tester |
| Timing belt (if the engine has one) | Not standard | Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval |
| APK | Book separately | Free if you combine it with a major service |

What do we check when servicing your Subaru?
At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Subaru, we also pay extra attention to these points:
If you drive a Subaru with an older EJ engine, read about replacing the timing belt (in Dutch). Also read how often to have the oil changed (in Dutch).
Servicing a Subaru e-Boxer or Solterra
The e-Boxer is a petrol engine with a small electric motor. The petrol engine gets oil, filters and spark plugs to the Subaru schedule. The electric Solterra was developed together with Toyota and has no engine oil. On the Solterra, servicing covers the brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension and the cabin filter.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
How much does a service for your Subaru cost?
The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Subaru stay valid?
Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
