The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Mazda gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Mazda is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.
The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.
If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Mazda Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Mazda serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Mazda to the manufacturer’s specifications, with parts and oil that suit your car.
The CX-5 and the Mazda2 are the most common Mazdas in the Netherlands. We know the Skyactiv-G petrol engines, the Skyactiv-D diesel and the Skyactiv-Drive automatic. On older Mazdas, we pay extra attention to the brake hoses, the exhaust and rust.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Mazda?
Mazda specifies a service schedule for each model and engine. A service is usually due after a year or after a set number of kilometres, whichever comes first. If you do a lot of short trips, a shorter interval may be needed. We use your registration number to look up the schedule for your Mazda.
On the Skyactiv-D diesel, the oil is particularly important. When the DPF (diesel particulate filter) cleans itself by burning off soot, diesel can get into the engine oil. The oil level then rises. That is why the dipstick on this engine has an X mark. If the oil level goes above it, the oil needs changing.
We use your registration number to look up which service your Mazda needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.
Minor or major service for your Mazda?
Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:
| Part | Minor service | Major service |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and oil filter | Change and replace | Change and replace |
| Fluids | Check and top up if needed | Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it |
| Brakes and tyres | Check for wear | Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads |
| Filters | Check | Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule |
| Spark plugs (petrol) | Not standard | Replace at the manufacturer’s interval |
| Battery | Check | Test with a battery tester |
| Timing belt (if the engine has one) | Not standard | Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval |
| APK | Book separately | Free if you combine it with a major service |

What do we check when servicing your Mazda?
At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Mazda, we also pay extra attention to these points:
Also read about flushing an automatic gearbox and how often to change your oil (in Dutch).
Servicing your hybrid or electric Mazda
The electric MX-30 and Mazda6e have no engine oil, spark plugs or timing belt. They still need servicing, though: brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension and the cabin filter, according to the Mazda schedule. On the MX-30 R-EV, the CX-60 plug-in hybrid and the Mazda2 Hybrid, the petrol engine gets oil and filters according to the schedule. Because these cars mainly use the electric motor to brake, the brake discs can rust.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
How much does a service for your Mazda cost?
The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Mazda stay valid?
Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
