The short answer

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Ford gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Ford is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.

The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.

If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Ford Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Ford serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Ford?

Ford sets a service schedule for each model and engine. The schedule is based on a number of years or a number of kilometres, whichever comes first. The service book shows which service your Ford needs. We can also look it up using your registration number.

On a Ford, the right oil matters even more. Many Fords have a timing belt that runs in the engine oil. Ford specifies its own oil standard for these engines. For many 1.0 EcoBoost engines, that is oil to WSS-M2C948-B. The wrong oil can make the belt wear faster.

We use your registration number to look up which service your Ford needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.

Minor or major service for your Ford?

Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:

Part Minor service Major service
Engine oil and oil filter Change and replace Change and replace
Fluids Check and top up if needed Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it
Brakes and tyres Check for wear Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads
Filters Check Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule

Battery Check Test with a battery tester
Timing belt (if the engine has one) Not standard Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval
APK Book separately Free if you combine it with a major service

What do we check when servicing your Ford?

At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Ford, we also pay extra attention to these points:

  • 1.0 EcoBoost with wet belt: most 1.0 EcoBoost engines, found in the Fiesta, Focus, Puma and EcoSport among others, have a belt that runs in the engine oil. The latest version of this engine has a chain. Old or incorrect oil can damage the belt. We use oil to the Ford standard and check at the service whether the belt is due for replacement.
  • 2.0 EcoBlue diesel: the 2.0 EcoBlue diesel, used in the Transit Custom among others, also has a timing belt that runs in oil. That makes the right interval and the right oil important. We look up the interval using your registration number.
  • PowerShift automatic: the PowerShift automatic in the Fiesta and Focus from about 2011 to 2016 can start to judder or hesitate when changing gear. If you notice this, mention it at the service. We first find out what is causing it.
  • Plug-in hybrid Kuga recall: there have been recalls for the battery of the plug-in hybrid Kuga. According to Radar, since 2026 some of these cars may only be charged to 80 per cent until a new software update is available. You can use your registration number to check with the RDW whether a recall is open for your car. A recall is carried out by the Ford dealer.
  • Diesel with DPF: a TDCi or EcoBlue diesel often has a DPF. If you mainly drive short trips, the filter can fill up faster. If your diesel uses AdBlue, we check that system too.

Servicing your hybrid or electric Ford

The electric Mustang Mach-E and the new Explorer have no engine oil, spark plugs or timing belt. They still need maintenance: brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension and cabin filter, following the Ford schedule. On the plug-in hybrid Kuga, the petrol engine gets oil and filters according to the schedule. Because these cars mostly use the electric motor to slow down, the brake discs can rust.

Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).

How much does a service for your Ford cost?

The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.

  • Price in advance: call +31 10 479 00 00 and give your registration number and mileage. We tell you straight away what the service costs, including VAT.
  • You can also drop in: visit our workshop at Boterdiep 11. We look at your Ford and tell you on the spot what the service costs.
  • Extra work: if we find something during the service that was not part of the agreement, we call you first. We only do extra work with your approval.
  • Free APK: have the APK for your Ford done together with a major service and you pay nothing for the inspection.

Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Ford stay valid?

Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
