The short answer

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug, an APK for your Dacia costs € 50 for petrol, petrol hybrid and electric, and € 60 for a diesel with a factory-fitted DPF, including the particle counter test. The prices include VAT, the inspection report and registering the result with the RDW.

If you combine the APK with a major service, the APK is free. You bring your Dacia in Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am and we call you when it is ready. If a repair is needed, we tell you the cost first.

What do we check during the APK for your Dacia?

The APK is the same legal inspection for every make: brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, seat belts, emissions and the vehicle identification (VIN and number plate). On a Dacia, there are a few points we look at with extra care, or that you as the owner can keep an eye on:

  • Factory-fitted LPG: according to Autorai, Dacia fits the LPG system at the factory, where the spare wheel would normally go. This applies to the Sandero and the Logan, among others. During the APK we also inspect the gas system. If your Dacia runs on LPG, call us. We tell you in advance what the APK costs.
  • Renault technology: the engines and many parts come from Renault. On a diesel (dCi) with a factory-fitted DPF (diesel particulate filter), the particle counter test is part of the APK.
  • Duster with four-wheel drive: on a Duster 4×4, we also check the driveshafts, the rubber covers around them (CV boots) and the suspension.
  • Hybrid and electric: on the Jogger Hybrid and the Duster Hybrid, the petrol engine gets an emissions test. The Spring does not get an emissions test. These cars mainly use the electric motor to brake, so the brake discs get little use and can rust.

Servicing your Dacia with us

We service your Dacia according to the manufacturer’s schedule, with oil and parts that suit your car. On an LPG version, we also check the filters of the gas system. You do not need to go to the dealer for servicing.

  • Following the Dacia schedule: we use your registration number to look up which service your car needs, and we use parts and fluids that suit your car.
  • Manufacturer’s warranty: having your car serviced by an independent garage does not automatically end your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the work follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts. We record the service in our system and you get an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
  • Free APK with a major service: if you have the APK done at the same time as a major service, you pay nothing for the inspection.
  • Price in advance: call +31 10 479 00 00 and give us your registration number. We will tell you straight away what the service costs.

Dacia Hybrid and Spring

The Jogger Hybrid, the Duster Hybrid and the electric Spring can all come to us for the APK and servicing. An electric car does not get an emissions test. On a hybrid, the petrol engine does get an emissions test.

Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they can work safely on hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).

Do you also inspect a Dacia on LPG?

Yes. On a Dacia that runs on LPG, we also inspect the gas system. Call us with your registration number and we will tell you in advance what the APK costs.

Do I need to go to a Dacia dealer to have my Dacia serviced?

No. A Dacia uses Renault technology, which we know well. We service your Dacia according to the manufacturer’s schedule. Keep the invoice for every service.

Do you also inspect the electric Spring?

Yes. The APK for an electric Dacia costs € 50. There is no emissions test. We do pay extra attention to the tyres, brakes and suspension.

How much does an APK for my Dacia cost?

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug, an APK costs € 50 for a petrol Dacia, a petrol hybrid or an electric Dacia, and € 60 for a diesel with a factory-fitted DPF, including the particle counter test. The APK for a Dacia van with a grey number plate costs € 125. With a major service, the APK is free. All prices include VAT, the inspection report and registering the result with the RDW.

Do I need to wait during the APK for my Dacia?

No. You bring your car in Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am and we call you when it is ready. The inspection itself usually takes 45 minutes to an hour. On Saturdays we are open for servicing and repairs, but not for the APK.

What happens if my Dacia fails the APK?

We call you first. We tell you what the problem is, what the repair costs and whether there are any extra inspection costs. Once you approve, we repair the fault, inspect the car again and register the APK result with the RDW. If your Dacia failed the APK somewhere else, we carry out a new APK after the repair at our normal rate.

Where are you based and where do your customers come from?

Our workshop is at Boterdiep 11 in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, close to Stadion Feijenoord (De Kuip). Our customers come from all over Rotterdam, including Centrum, Kralingen-Crooswijk, Hillegersberg-Schiebroek, Delfshaven and IJsselmonde, and from Barendrecht, Ridderkerk, Schiedam, Capelle aan den IJssel and Delft. You can park for free in front of the garage if there is space.
