The short answer

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug, an APK for your Lancia costs € 50 for petrol, petrol hybrid and electric, and € 60 for a diesel with a factory-fitted DPF, including the particle counter test. The prices include VAT, the inspection report and registering the result with the RDW.

If you combine the APK with a major service, the APK is free. You bring your Lancia in Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am and we call you when it is ready. If a repair is needed, we tell you the cost first.

What do we check during the APK for your Lancia?

The APK is the same legal inspection for every make: brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, seat belts, emissions and the vehicle identification (VIN and number plate). On a Lancia, there are a few points we look at with extra care, or that you as the owner can keep an eye on:

  • Ypsilon with Fiat technology: the Ypsilon up to 2024 uses the same technology as the Fiat 500 and Panda. The new Ypsilon, including the electric version, uses Peugeot technology. The 1.2 petrol engine has a timing belt that you should have replaced about every 100,000 kilometres or every five years. The 0.9 TwinAir has a timing chain.
  • Handbrake cables: as on the Fiat Panda, we check the handbrake cables on the Ypsilon. If the car pulls to one side when you use the handbrake, or the handbrake does not hold the car properly in place, have it checked.
  • Classic Lancia cars: on a Delta Integrale, Thema or older Lancia, we pay extra attention to rust on the floor and sills, the brake pipes and the exhaust.

Servicing your Lancia with us

We service your Lancia according to the manufacturer’s schedule, with oil and parts that suit your car. At every service we also check when the timing belt needs replacing.

  • Following the Lancia schedule: we use your registration number to look up which service your car needs, and we use parts and fluids that suit your car.
  • Manufacturer’s warranty: having your car serviced by an independent garage does not automatically end your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the work follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts. We record the service in our system and you get an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
  • Free APK with a major service: if you have the APK done at the same time as a major service, you pay nothing for the inspection.

Where can I take my Lancia for servicing?

You can go to a garage for all makes, such as Autobedrijf Willemsbrug. The Musa and the Ypsilon up to 2024 use Fiat technology, which we know well.

When does the timing belt on my Ypsilon need replacing?

On the 1.2 petrol engine, have the timing belt replaced about every 100,000 kilometres or every five years, whichever comes first. The 0.9 TwinAir has a timing chain. We can look it up for you with your registration number.

Do you also inspect a classic Delta Integrale?

Yes. We also inspect classic Lancia cars with a Dutch number plate. We pay extra attention to rust on the floor and sills, the brake pipes and the exhaust.

How much does an APK for my Lancia cost?

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug, an APK costs € 50 for a petrol Lancia, a petrol hybrid or an electric Lancia, and € 60 for a diesel with a factory-fitted DPF, including the particle counter test. With a major service, the APK is free. All prices include VAT, the inspection report and registering the result with the RDW.

Do I need to wait during the APK for my Lancia?

No. You bring your car in Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am and we call you when it is ready. The inspection itself usually takes 45 minutes to an hour. On Saturdays we are open for servicing and repairs, but not for the APK.

What happens if my Lancia fails the APK?

We call you first. We tell you what the problem is, what the repair costs and whether there are any extra inspection costs. Once you approve, we repair the fault, inspect the car again and register the APK result with the RDW. If your Lancia failed the APK somewhere else, we carry out a new APK after the repair at our normal rate.

Where are you based and where do your customers come from?

Our workshop is at Boterdiep 11 in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, close to Stadion Feijenoord (De Kuip). Our customers come from all over Rotterdam, including Centrum, Kralingen-Crooswijk, Hillegersberg-Schiebroek, Delfshaven and IJsselmonde, and from Barendrecht, Ridderkerk, Schiedam, Capelle aan den IJssel and Delft. You can park for free in front of the garage if there is space.
