The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Fiat gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Fiat is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.
The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.
If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Fiat Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Fiat serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Fiat to the manufacturer’s specification, with parts and oil that suit your car.
The Fiat 500 and Panda are mostly driven in town and often cover few kilometres. In that case, the age of the oil and the timing belt counts as much as the mileage. We know the Fiat 1.2 petrol engine, the TwinAir, the MultiAir and the MultiJet diesels.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Fiat?
Fiat sets a service interval in time and kilometres for each model and engine. The service indicator or the service book shows when the next service is due. If you drive little, the time limit usually comes before the kilometre limit. Have the service done on time anyway.
The TwinAir and MultiAir engines are sensitive to the oil used. On these engines, a hydraulic unit controls the inlet valves. The wrong oil or dirty oil can make this unit falter. We use oil with the viscosity (thickness) and the standard that Fiat specifies for your engine.
We use your registration number to look up which service your Fiat needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.
Minor or major service for your Fiat?
Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:
| Part | Minor service | Major service |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and oil filter | Change and replace | Change and replace |
| Fluids | Check and top up if needed | Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it |
| Brakes and tyres | Check for wear | Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads |
| Filters | Check | Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule |
| Spark plugs (petrol) | Not standard | Replace at the manufacturer’s interval |
| Battery | Check | Test with a battery tester |
| Timing belt (if the engine has one) | Not standard | Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval |
| APK | Book separately | Free if you combine it with a major service |

Common Fiat models and what we check during a service
These Fiat models are the most common in the Netherlands, according to RDW open data. We can service all of these models.
| Model | Number in the Netherlands | What we check during a service |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | 122,726 | On the 1.2, the timing belt, by age and mileage. The TwinAir has a timing chain, but it does need oil to the correct standard. |
| Panda | 84,576 | On the 1.2, the timing belt. Many Pandas cover few kilometres, so we keep an eye on the age of the oil and the belt. |
| Punto | 36,317 | Older car: oil, timing belt, brakes, suspension and rust. |
| 500X | 6,295 | On the 1.4 MultiAir, oil to the correct standard and the turbo. On an automatic, we pay attention to how it shifts. |
| 500L | 5,223 | Family car: oil, brakes and tyres. On the TwinAir, oil to the correct standard. On the MultiJet diesel, the diesel particulate filter. |
| Ducato | 3,443 | Often a motorhome or van up to 3,500 kg. Oil, brakes and tyres, also after a long period unused. On most MultiJet diesels, the timing belt as well. |
| Doblò | 2,971 | Often used for business. Oil, brakes and, on the MultiJet, the diesel particulate filter. With a grey number plate, it counts as a van up to 3,500 kg. |
| Seicento | 2,913 | Older car: oil, timing belt, brakes and rust. |
| Bravo | 2,796 | Older car: oil, brakes, suspension and the timing belt at the set interval. |
| Tipo | 2,278 | Oil to the correct standard, brakes and tyres. On the MultiJet diesel, the diesel particulate filter. |
| 600 | 2,255 | The 600e is electric, so it has no engine oil. On the 600 Hybrid, oil and filters according to the schedule. |

What do we check when servicing your Fiat?
At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Fiat, we also pay extra attention to these points:

Servicing a Fiat 500e, 600e or Hybrid
The electric 500e and 600e have no engine oil, spark plugs or timing belt. They still need servicing: brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension, cabin filter and battery cooling according to the Fiat schedule. On the mild hybrid 500 Hybrid, Panda Hybrid and 600 Hybrid, the petrol engine gets oil and filters according to the schedule.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
How much does a service for your Fiat cost?
The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Fiat stay valid?
Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
