The short answer

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Mitsubishi gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Mitsubishi is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.

The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.

If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Mitsubishi Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Mitsubishi serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?

We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Mitsubishi to the manufacturer’s specification, with parts and oil that suit your car.

The Outlander PHEV was one of the first plug-in hybrids in the Netherlands. Many are now ten years old or more and are still driven every day. We know this car well. The new Colt and ASX, which use Renault technology, are welcome too.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Mitsubishi?

Mitsubishi usually specifies a service every year, or sooner if you drive a lot of kilometres. The mileage interval varies by model and year. According to the schedule, new brake fluid is usually needed every two years. We use your registration number to look up which schedule applies to your Mitsubishi.

The Colt and the ASX from 2023 onwards are built on the technology of the Renault Clio and the Renault Captur. On these models, we look at the engine, the oil and the parts that go with that technology. On the older models, we follow the Mitsubishi schedule.

We use your registration number to look up which service your Mitsubishi needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.

Minor or major service for your Mitsubishi?

Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:

Part Minor service Major service
Engine oil and oil filter Change and replace Change and replace
Fluids Check and top up if needed Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it
Brakes and tyres Check for wear Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads
Filters Check Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule
Spark plugs (petrol) Not standard Replace at the manufacturer’s interval
Battery Check Test with a battery tester
Timing belt (if the engine has one) Not standard Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval
APK Book separately Free if you combine it with a major service

What do we check when servicing your Mitsubishi?

At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Mitsubishi, we also pay extra attention to these points:

  • Outlander PHEV: this car has a petrol engine and two electric motors, and no conventional gearbox. Even if the petrol engine does relatively few kilometres, it still gets oil and filters according to the schedule.
  • Brakes on a PHEV: a PHEV does a lot of its braking with the electric motor. As a result, the brake discs get little use and can rust. The brake callipers can also seize. During the service we clean and check the brakes.
  • CVT automatic: many petrol Mitsubishis with an automatic, such as the ASX, the Outlander and the Eclipse Cross, have a CVT. This is a continuously variable automatic gearbox. We check whether the schedule calls for new fluid.
  • Colt and ASX from 2023: these models are built on Renault technology. We use your registration number to look up which engine and schedule they have.
  • Older Mitsubishis and the Pajero: on a Lancer, Grandis, Carisma or Pajero, we pay extra attention to rust on load-bearing parts, the brake lines and the exhaust. On the Pajero, we also check the oil in the transfer box and the differentials.

Servicing a Mitsubishi PHEV

The Outlander PHEV and the Eclipse Cross PHEV are plug-in hybrids. The petrol engine gets oil, filters and spark plugs according to the Mitsubishi schedule. We also check the brakes, the brake fluid, the tyres and the cooling. We read the fault codes with our diagnostic equipment.

Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).

How much does a service for your Mitsubishi cost?

The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.

  • Price in advance: call +31 10 479 00 00 and give your registration number and mileage. We tell you straight away what the service costs, including VAT.
  • You can also drop in: visit our workshop at Boterdiep 11. We look at your Mitsubishi and tell you on the spot what the service costs.
  • Extra work: if we find something during the service that was not part of the agreement, we call you first. We only do extra work with your approval.
  • Free APK: if you have the APK for your Mitsubishi done together with a major service, you pay nothing for the inspection.

Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Mitsubishi stay valid?

Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
