The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug, an APK for your Polestar costs € 50. An electric car does not get an emissions test. The price includes VAT, the inspection report and registering the result with the RDW.
If you combine the APK with a major service, the APK is free. You bring your Polestar in Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am and we call you when it is ready. If a repair is needed, we tell you the cost first.

Why have your Polestar inspected at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. Our qualified inspectors check your Polestar against the legal APK requirements. You know in advance what the inspection costs.
Polestar grew out of Volvo. The Polestar 2 and 3 use a lot of Volvo technology, which we know well. The Polestar 2 is by far the most common model in the Netherlands. The first cars from 2020 are now due for their second APK, and the Polestar 2s from 2022 for their first.

What do we check during the APK for your Polestar?
The APK is the same legal inspection for every make: brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, seat belts, emissions and the vehicle identification (VIN and number plate). On a Polestar, there are a few points we look at with extra care, or that you as the owner can keep an eye on:
Servicing your Polestar with us
We service your Polestar according to the manufacturer’s schedule. On an electric car, the main points are the brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension, cabin filter and battery cooling. You do not need to go to Polestar for servicing.

Polestar and the APK
The Polestar 2, 3 and 4 are fully electric. During the APK we inspect the brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, lights, seat belts and registration. The condition of the battery is not inspected during the APK. For an electric car, the APK is the same legal inspection, but without an emissions test.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they can work safely on hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
