The short answer

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Audi gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Audi is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.

The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.

If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Audi Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Audi serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?

We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Audi to the manufacturer’s specification, with parts and oil that suit your car.

Audi is part of the Volkswagen Group. We know this technology well: TFSI and TDI engines, the S tronic automatic gearbox, quattro all-wheel drive and the electronic parking brake. On older TFSI engines, we also check the oil consumption during the service.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Audi?

Audi uses two types of servicing. With flexible servicing (LongLife), the car works out for itself when the next service is due. It looks at things such as mileage, fuel consumption and oil temperature. If you make a lot of short trips, the reminder comes sooner. With fixed servicing, the car gets a service every year or after a set number of kilometres.

Flexible servicing needs oil with a Volkswagen LongLife standard, such as VW 504 00 for petrol and VW 507 00 for diesel. For newer engines, Audi sometimes specifies a different standard. We use the oil that matches your engine and your service plan. You can see which plan your Audi has in the service book or the digital service record.

We use your registration number to look up which service your Audi needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.

Minor or major service for your Audi?

Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:

Part Minor service Major service
Engine oil and oil filter Change and replace Change and replace
Fluids Check and top up if needed Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it
Brakes and tyres Check for wear Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads
Filters Check Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule
Spark plugs (petrol) Not standard Replace at the manufacturer’s interval
Battery Check Test with a battery tester
Timing belt (if the engine has one) Not standard Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval
APK Book separately Free if you combine it with a major service

Common Audi models and what we check during a service

These Audi models are the most common in the Netherlands, according to RDW open data. We can service all of these models.

Model Number in the Netherlands What we check during a service

A4 49,417 On the 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI from about 2008 to 2013, the oil consumption. On an older A4 with Multitronic, the continuously variable automatic gearbox.
A1 43,479 Small Audi with Polo technology. Oil to VW specification, brakes and tyres. On the S tronic, we pay attention to the gear changes.
A6 25,808 Oil to VW specification. On newer TDI engines, the AdBlue system and the diesel particulate filter. On an older A6 with Multitronic, the continuously variable automatic gearbox.
Q5 18,814 On the 2.0 TFSI from about 2008 to 2013, the oil consumption. On the TFSI e, also the brakes, which get little use.
Q2 18,648 Oil to VW specification and brakes. With quattro, the Haldex coupling oil according to the schedule.
Q3 18,290 Oil to VW specification and S tronic servicing where the schedule requires it. With quattro, the Haldex coupling oil.

What do we check when servicing your Audi?

At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Audi, we also pay extra attention to these points:

  • Oil consumption on the 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI: these engines from about 2008 to 2013 often use a lot of oil because of a weak point in the piston rings. This affects models such as the A3, A4, A5 and Q5. During the service, we check the oil level and ask how much oil you top up.
  • S tronic automatic gearbox: Audi calls its dual-clutch automatic gearbox S tronic. The wet versions, where the clutches run in oil, need new oil and a new filter at set intervals. The dry seven-speed version (DQ200) does not. We use your registration number to look up which gearbox your Audi has.
  • Multitronic on older A4 and A6 models: older front-wheel-drive A4 and A6 models sometimes have a Multitronic. This is a continuously variable automatic gearbox. If it pulls away poorly or hesitates, mention it when you bring the car in for its service.
  • quattro with Haldex coupling: on the A3, Q2, Q3 and TT with quattro, a Haldex coupling splits the power between the front and rear wheels. This coupling gets new oil according to the schedule.
  • TDI with AdBlue and diesel particulate filter: on newer TDI engines, we check the AdBlue system and the diesel particulate filter. If you mainly make short trips, the filter fills up faster.
  • Electronic parking brake: before working on the rear brakes, we put the electronic parking brake into service mode with our diagnostic equipment.

Servicing an Audi TFSI e or e-tron

An electric Q4 e-tron or e-tron has no engine oil, spark plugs or timing belt. It still needs servicing: brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension, cabin filter and battery cooling according to the Audi schedule. Because these cars mainly brake using the electric motor, the brake discs can rust. On a plug-in hybrid, such as the A3 TFSI e or Q5 TFSI e, the petrol engine gets oil and filters according to the schedule.

Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).

How much does a service for your Audi cost?

The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.

  • Price in advance: call +31 10 479 00 00 and give your registration number and mileage. We tell you straight away what the service costs, including VAT.
  • You can also drop in: visit our workshop at Boterdiep 11. We look at your Audi and tell you on the spot what the service costs.
  • Extra work: if we find something during the service that was not part of the agreement, we call you first. We only do extra work with your approval.
  • Free APK: if you have the APK for your Audi done at the same time as a major service, you pay nothing for the inspection.

Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Audi stay valid?

Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.

Frequently asked questions about servicing your Audi

No need to click: all the answers below are already open for you.

My Audi uses a lot of oil. Is that normal?

No. Using a little oil is normal. Using a lot of oil is not. On the 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI from about 2008 to 2013, it is often too much. This is caused by a weak point in the piston rings. During the service, we check the oil level. We can also measure how much oil the engine uses.

How do I know whether my Audi has flexible or fixed servicing?

You can find it in the service book or the digital service record. We can also look it up using your registration number. We then use the oil that goes with that service plan.

Does the S tronic in my Audi need servicing too?

Yes. A wet S tronic needs new oil and a new filter at set intervals. The dry seven-speed version (DQ200) has no scheduled oil change. We use your registration number to look up which gearbox your Audi has.

How much does a service for my Audi cost?

It depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs, including VAT. You can also visit our workshop. If you combine a major service with the APK, the inspection is free.

Will my manufacturer’s warranty be void if you service my Audi?

No. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. You receive an invoice listing all the work.

Can I wait while you do the service?

No. You drop off your Audi Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. A minor service is often ready within a few hours. We call you when the car is ready.
