The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Citroën gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Citroën is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.
The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.
If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Citroën Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Citroën serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Citroën to the manufacturer’s specifications, with parts and oil that suit your car.
Many Citroëns have the 1.2 PureTech petrol engine with a wet timing belt. On this engine, good maintenance largely decides how long the belt lasts. We know this engine well, as well as the Citroën BlueHDi diesels and automatic gearboxes.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Citroën?
Citroën sets a service interval in time and kilometres for each model and engine. What needs doing at each service is listed in the service book or the digital service record. The service indicator on the dashboard shows when the next service is due.
On the 1.2 PureTech, the right oil matters even more. Here the timing belt runs in the engine oil. Oil of the wrong standard, or oil left in the engine too long, can make the belt wear faster. We use oil that meets the standard Citroën specifies for your engine. On this engine, we advise changing the oil no later than the schedule says.
We use your registration number to look up which service your Citroën needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.
Minor or major service for your Citroën?
Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:
| Part | Minor service | Major service |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and oil filter | Change and replace | Change and replace |
| Fluids | Check and top up if needed | Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it |
| Brakes and tyres | Check for wear | Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads |
| Filters | Check | Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule |
| Spark plugs (petrol) | Not standard | Replace at the manufacturer’s interval |
| Battery | Check | Test with a battery tester |
| Timing belt (if the engine has one) | Not standard | Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval |
| APK | Book separately | Free if you combine it with a major service |

Common Citroën models and what we check during a service
These Citroën models are the most common in the Netherlands, according to RDW open data. We can service all of these models.
| Model | Number in the Netherlands | What we check during a service |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | 113,719 | The 1.0 has a timing chain, the 1.2 (82 hp) a wet belt. On an automated manual gearbox, we check the gear changes. |
| C3 | 75,686 | On the 1.2 PureTech: oil to the correct standard and the condition of the wet timing belt. |
| C4 Picasso | 19,747 | On the 1.2 PureTech: the wet timing belt. On an older Picasso with an automated manual gearbox, we check the gear changes. |
| C4 Cactus | 17,684 | On the 1.2 PureTech: the wet timing belt. On a BlueHDi diesel: the AdBlue system and the diesel particulate filter (DPF). |
| C3 Aircross | 14,756 | On the 1.2 PureTech: the wet timing belt. On an automatic, we check how it changes gear. |
| Berlingo | 12,706 | Often used for business. Oil, brakes, tyres and, on a BlueHDi, the AdBlue system. With a grey number plate, it counts as a van up to 3,500 kg. |
| C4 | 12,121 | On the 1.2 PureTech: the wet timing belt. On an automatic, we check how it changes gear. |
| C5 Aircross | 11,283 | On the 1.2 PureTech: the wet timing belt. On the plug-in hybrid, also the brakes, which get little use. |
| DS3 | 8,647 | Older Citroën DS3: oil, brakes, suspension and leaks. On the 1.2 PureTech: the wet timing belt. |
| Xsara Picasso | 7,464 | Older car: oil, brakes, suspension, leaks and rust. |
| ë-C4 | 5,923 | Electric: no engine oil, but brakes, brake fluid, tyres and cabin filter as scheduled. |

What do we check when servicing your Citroën?
At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Citroën, we also pay extra attention to these points:
Read more about replacing the wet timing belt (in Dutch) and problems with PureTech engines (in Dutch). If you drive a Berlingo, Jumpy or Jumper with a grey number plate, also read about the APK for a van up to 3,500 kg.
Servicing an electric or plug-in hybrid Citroën
An electric ë-C4, ë-C3 or ë-Berlingo has no engine oil, spark plugs or timing belt. It still needs maintenance: brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension, cabin filter and battery cooling, following the Citroën schedule. On the C5 Aircross plug-in hybrid, the petrol engine gets oil and filters according to the schedule.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
How much does a service for your Citroën cost?
The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Citroën stay valid?
Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
