The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Mercedes-Benz gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Mercedes-Benz is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.
The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.
If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Mercedes-Benz Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Mercedes-Benz serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Mercedes-Benz to the manufacturer’s specification, with parts and oil that suit your car.
A Mercedes-Benz tells you itself when it needs a service, with the A service and the B service. We read that message and work to that schedule. We know the 7G-DCT automatic gearbox in the A-Class and B-Class, the plug-in hybrids and the Sprinter.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Mercedes-Benz?
Mercedes-Benz uses the ASSYST service system. The car keeps track of how and how much you drive, and uses this to work out when the next service is due. You then see a spanner symbol with a letter on the dashboard. A stands for the smaller A service, B for the more extensive B service.
With ASSYST PLUS, the message can also show extra work, such as new brake fluid, a new air filter or new spark plugs. Mercedes-Benz approves engine oil with its own number, such as MB 229.51 or MB 229.52. We use oil with the approval that applies to your engine.
We use your registration number to look up which service your Mercedes-Benz needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.
Minor or major service for your Mercedes-Benz?
Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:
| Part | Minor service | Major service |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and oil filter | Change and replace | Change and replace |
| Fluids | Check and top up if needed | Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it |
| Brakes and tyres | Check for wear | Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads |
| Filters | Check | Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule |
| Spark plugs (petrol) | Not standard | Replace at the manufacturer’s interval |
| Battery | Check | Test with a battery tester |
| Timing belt (if the engine has one) | Not standard | Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval |
| APK | Book separately | Free if you combine it with a major service |

What do we check when servicing your Mercedes-Benz?
At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Mercedes-Benz, we also pay extra attention to these points:
If you drive a Sprinter, Vito or Citan with a grey number plate, read about the APK for a van up to 3,500 kg. If your Sprinter is a motorhome, read about motorhome servicing and repairs (in Dutch).
Servicing a plug-in hybrid or electric Mercedes-Benz
Plug-in hybrids such as the A 250 e, C 300 e and GLC 300 e have a petrol engine that gets oil, filters and spark plugs according to ASSYST. The electric EQ models, such as the EQA and EQB, have no engine oil. On those cars, servicing covers the brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension and cabin filter, according to the Mercedes-Benz schedule.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
How much does a service for your Mercedes-Benz cost?
The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Mercedes-Benz stay valid?
Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
