The short answer
At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, your Renault gets a minor or major service according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. If your Renault is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty stays valid as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, even if you do not go to the dealer.
The price depends on the model, the engine and the mileage. Call +31 10 479 00 00 with your registration number and mileage, and we will tell you in advance what the service costs. You can also visit our workshop.
If you combine a major service with the APK (MOT), the inspection is free. You drop off your Renault Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am, or on Saturday at 9.00 am. If extra work is needed, we call you first.

Why have your Renault serviced at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. We service your Renault to the manufacturer’s specifications, with parts and oil that suit your car.
There are lots of Clios, Twingos and Capturs on the road in Rotterdam. We know the TCe petrol engines, the dCi diesels, the EDC dual-clutch automatic and the E-Tech hybrid. On the 1.2 TCe from 2012 to 2016, we check the oil consumption at every service.

What servicing does the manufacturer specify for your Renault?
Renault sets a service interval for each engine: after a number of kilometres or after a set time, whichever comes first. On newer Renaults, the dashboard shows when the next service is due.
The engine oil must meet a Renault specification. For many older engines, that is RN0700 or RN0710. Older diesels with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) usually need RN0720. Newer engines often use RN17. We use your registration number to look up which specification your engine needs.
We use your registration number to look up which service your Renault needs and, where possible, we read the service indicator. After the service, we reset the service reminder, if our equipment can do this.
Minor or major service for your Renault?
Which service your car needs depends on the model, the engine, the age and the mileage. A minor and a major service usually include the following:
| Part | Minor service | Major service |
|---|---|---|
| Engine oil and oil filter | Change and replace | Change and replace |
| Fluids | Check and top up if needed | Check, change the brake fluid if the schedule requires it |
| Brakes and tyres | Check for wear | Thorough check, including brake discs and brake pads |
| Filters | Check | Replace the air filter and cabin filter according to the schedule |
| Spark plugs (petrol) | Not standard | Replace at the manufacturer’s interval |
| Battery | Check | Test with a battery tester |
| Timing belt (if the engine has one) | Not standard | Check whether the belt is due for replacement at the set interval |
| APK | Book separately | Free if you combine it with a major service |

What do we check when servicing your Renault?
At every service we follow the manufacturer’s schedule. For your Renault, we also pay extra attention to these points:
Read how often to have the oil changed (in Dutch). If you drive a Kangoo, Trafic or Master with a grey number plate, read about the APK for a van up to 3,500 kg.
Servicing a Renault E-Tech or Zoe
The Clio, Captur and Austral E-Tech have a petrol engine that gets oil, filters and spark plugs according to the Renault schedule. The electric Zoe and Mégane E-Tech Electric have no engine oil, spark plugs or timing belt. On these cars, servicing covers brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension and the cabin filter.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they are trained to work safely on the high-voltage systems of hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
How much does a service for your Renault cost?
The price of a service differs from car to car. The model, the engine, the specified oil and the mileage determine what needs to be done and which parts are needed. That is why we do not give an amount on this page.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty on your Renault stay valid?
Yes. Having your car serviced at an independent garage does not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts and oil. This follows from the European rules for the motor industry. Extra warranties or mobility services from the brand may be linked to servicing at a dealer. We record the service in our system and, if you have a service book, in that too. You receive an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
