The short answer

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug, an APK for your Jaguar costs € 50 for petrol, petrol hybrid and electric, and € 60 for a diesel with a factory-fitted DPF, including the particle counter test. The prices include VAT, the inspection report and registering the result with the RDW.

If you combine the APK with a major service, the APK is free. You bring your Jaguar in Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am and we call you when it is ready. If a repair is needed, we tell you the cost first.

What do we check during the APK for your Jaguar?

The APK is the same legal inspection for every make: brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, seat belts, emissions and the vehicle identification (VIN and number plate). On a Jaguar, there are a few points we look at with extra care, or that you as the owner can keep an eye on:

  • I-Pace: according to the AP news agency, in 2024 Jaguar recalled the 2019 model year I-Pace because of a battery fire risk. Until the repair has been done, the car charges to a maximum of 80 percent. The I-Pace does not get an emissions test. These cars mainly use the electric motor to brake, so the brake discs get little use and can rust.
  • 2.0 diesel engine (Ingenium): according to Autoblog.it, on the 2.0 diesel in the XE, XF and F-Pace from 2015 onwards, the balance shaft bearings can wear, especially with a lot of short journeys. The balance shaft makes the engine run smoothly. Have the oil changed in good time.
  • Diesel with a DPF: on a Jaguar diesel with a factory-fitted DPF (diesel particulate filter), the particle counter test is part of the APK. A removed DPF means the car fails.
  • Classic Jaguar cars: on an XJ6, XJS or E-Type, we pay extra attention to rust, the brake pipes and the exhaust. Different requirements sometimes apply to a classic car, for example for emissions.

Servicing your Jaguar with us

We service your Jaguar according to the manufacturer’s schedule, with oil that meets the specified standard. On an Ingenium diesel, we advise you to have the oil changed in good time.

  • Following the Jaguar schedule: we use your registration number to look up which service your car needs, and we use parts and fluids that suit your car.
  • Manufacturer’s warranty: having your car serviced by an independent garage does not automatically end your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the work follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses suitable parts. We record the service in our system and you get an invoice listing all the work. Keep it in a safe place.
  • Free APK with a major service: if you have the APK done at the same time as a major service, you pay nothing for the inspection.
  • Price in advance: call +31 10 479 00 00 and give us your registration number. We will tell you straight away what the service costs.

Jaguar I-Pace

The electric I-Pace can come to us for the APK and servicing. An electric Jaguar does not get an emissions test. The APK does not include a check of the battery condition.

Is my Jaguar I-Pace affected by the recall?

Yes. This applies if your I-Pace is from model year 2019. According to the AP news agency, the recall concerns the I-Pace from that year. A Jaguar dealer can check with your registration number whether your car is included. A recall is free of charge at the dealer.

Do you also inspect a classic Jaguar?

Yes. We also inspect an XJ6, XJS or E-Type with a Dutch number plate. We pay extra attention to rust, the brake pipes and the exhaust.

Do you also inspect the electric I-Pace?

Yes. The APK for an electric Jaguar costs € 50. There is no emissions test. We do pay extra attention to the tyres, brakes and suspension.

How much does an APK for my Jaguar cost?

At Autobedrijf Willemsbrug, an APK costs € 50 for a petrol Jaguar, a petrol hybrid or an electric Jaguar, and € 60 for a diesel with a factory-fitted DPF, including the particle counter test. With a major service, the APK is free. All prices include VAT, the inspection report and registering the result with the RDW.

Do I need to wait during the APK for my Jaguar?

No. You bring your car in Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 8.30 am and we call you when it is ready. The inspection itself usually takes 45 minutes to an hour. On Saturdays we are open for servicing and repairs, but not for the APK.

What happens if my Jaguar fails the APK?

We call you first. We tell you what the problem is, what the repair costs and whether there are any extra inspection costs. Once you approve, we repair the fault, inspect the car again and register the APK result with the RDW. If your Jaguar failed the APK somewhere else, we carry out a new APK after the repair at our normal rate.

Where are you based and where do your customers come from?

Our workshop is at Boterdiep 11 in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, close to Stadion Feijenoord (De Kuip). Our customers come from all over Rotterdam, including Centrum, Kralingen-Crooswijk, Hillegersberg-Schiebroek, Delfshaven and IJsselmonde, and from Barendrecht, Ridderkerk, Schiedam, Capelle aan den IJssel and Delft. You can park for free in front of the garage if there is space.
