Why have your Tesla inspected at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. Our qualified inspectors check your Tesla against the legal APK requirements. You know in advance what the inspection costs.
A Tesla needs little maintenance, but the brakes, suspension and tyres do need attention. German inspection figures show that Teslas have defects in these areas more often than other electric cars. With us, you can have this checked in good time, before your APK is due.

What do we check during the APK for your Tesla?
The APK is the same legal inspection for every make: brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, seat belts, emissions and the vehicle identification (VIN and number plate). On a Tesla, there are a few points we look at with extra care, or that you as the owner can keep an eye on:
Servicing your Tesla with us
Tesla does not have a fixed service like a petrol car. Tesla does advise checks on the brakes, brake fluid, cabin filter and tyres, among other things. We carry these out for you. You do not need to go to Tesla for servicing.

Tesla and the APK
A Tesla is fully electric. During the APK we inspect the brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, lights, seat belts and the registration. The condition of the battery is not part of the APK. For an electric car, the APK is the same legal inspection, only without the emissions test.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they can work safely on hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
