Why have your Chinese car inspected at Autobedrijf Willemsbrug?
We are an independent garage for all makes and an RDW-approved APK station. Our qualified inspectors check your Chinese car against the legal APK requirements. You know the cost of the inspection in advance.
More and more people in the Netherlands drive a car from a Chinese make. Many of these makes still have few workshops of their own. That is why we also service these cars according to the manufacturer’s schedule. Most of them are not yet four years old and do not need an APK yet.
Do you drive a Lynk & Co, MG, BYD or Polestar? Then read our page about that make.

What do we check during the APK for your Chinese car?
The APK is the same legal inspection for every make: brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, seat belts, emissions and registration. On cars from Chinese makes, there are a few points we look at with extra care, or that you as the owner can keep an eye on:
Servicing your Chinese car with us
We service your car according to the manufacturer’s schedule. On an electric car, this mainly covers the brakes, brake fluid, tyres, suspension, cabin filter (the filter for the air inside the car) and battery cooling. On a petrol car or a (plug-in) hybrid, it also includes an oil change.

Electric, hybrid and the APK
During the APK we inspect the brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, lights, seat belts and registration. We do not inspect the condition of the battery during the APK. An electric car does not get an emissions test. On a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid or a car with a range extender, the petrol engine does get an emissions test.
Our mechanics hold a GMTO certificate (the Dutch qualification for working on high-voltage systems). This means they can work safely on hybrid and electric cars. Read more about servicing hybrid and electric cars (in Dutch).
